We are seeking a .NET/Full Stack developer responsible for building applications using VB.net and/or C# for both front and back-end application development. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
Translate application storyboards, use cases and business requirements into functional applications and solutions
Design and develop logical and physical data models that meet application requirements
Design and develop systems, sub-systems and programs
Coordinate and support technical staff, operations and vendors
Design, build, document and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
Integrate data storage solutions
Comfort writing batch process SQL server jobs and stored procedures
Ability to troubleshoot performance problems while ensuring quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Assist with code migration for custom applications relevant to migrated environment
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive Experience with Microsoft Technologies (ASP.Net, .Net 4.5/C#, MVC4, WCF, Code First, Entity Framework, WCF, OData, and Service Authentication tools)
Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server in writing custom processes and stored procedures
Familiarity with the Mono framework
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Skill for writing reusable libraries
Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
Knowledge of concurrency patterns
Experience with popular web application frameworks
Familiarity with Windows Presentation Framework
Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, Visual Studio)
Experience of working to and applying agile methodologies
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
