Description of the Position: Provide supervision for all security officers and overall security for the entire arena property. Develop, operate and manage the area's mass notification platform ISS/24-7. Responsible for inventory, maintenance and upgrades of arena's technology and equipment. This includes but not limited to CCTV, access control, 2- way radios and magnetometers. Review footage, report and document incidents that have occured on camera as appropriate. Ensure AmericanAirlines Arena is utilizing the most updated technology to help ensure a safe arena culture and envirnonment. Implement, maintain and enforce loss prevention measures in an effort to minimize or diminish losses due to theft, and investigate all security related matters to the greatest extent possible. Provide direction, support and leadership for the Security Department in order to maintain the arena and operate events in a first class manner from a security standpoint. Maintain, update and enforce departmental and Life Safety SOP's on an ongoing basis and ensure they are being followed organization wide through training and drills. Maintain communication and establish working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies including but not limited to Miami Police, Miami-Dade Police, FBI, and local Joint Terrorism Task Force, which will assist the department in both preventative & reactive measures. Serve as liason to police on all police related matter during events and non events when necessary, Implementing department projects and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in computer science, information technology or related field. Must have a minimum of 4 years' military law enforcement or security experience. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Public assembly, risk management & guest service background a plus. Ability to read and interpret security rules and regulations. Ability to write reports, process payrolls and invoices. Ability to give information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, patrons, and the public. Knowledge of Technology products for industry trends: experience and working knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, and radio communication systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
