Position Purpose

The Technology Support Manager is responsible for the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of information system resources within the Memphis Grizzlies organization and for training and support of the user community. Serves as a resource for IT requirements for events within the FedEx Forum. Manages resources and provides project management directives.
 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to maintain the VMWare server farm and ensure that services are available for users.
  • Assists with the implementation of the corporate computer system including networking infrastructure, hardware, software and peripheral devices;
  • Monitors, maintains, and upgrades servers, network, voice, storage and associated applications.
  • Monitors network security and ensures integrity of data.
  • Assists the IS staff with the preparation and maintenance of departmental documentation and comprehensive hardware and software inventories and related documentation.
  • Assist with project management of IT projects, including anticipated time lines.
  • Superior organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college and 4 years of experience or equivalent  experience
  • Management experience of a technical team.

  • Knowledge on Microsoft Windows 7, 10, 2008r2, 2012, Exchange and SQL.

  • Knowledge of Linux primarily Debian/Ubuntu.

  • Knowledge of switches, routers, and WiFi.

  • Ability to troubleshoot network, workstations, and voice issues

  • Familiar with punch down blocks and structured cabling.

     

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and passion of NBA Basketball
