Job Details

  • Maintain thorough knowledge for all event security posts while meeting all department standards as outlined in the Event Security Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Regulates and controls access to restricted and secure areas. (i.e. event floor, event level, loading dock, locker rooms and other sensitive areas during an event)
  • Serves and interacts with internal and external guests attending Philips Arena games and events
  • Interacts professionally and notifies the proper authorities or personnel, as situations dictate while providing information and direction to inquiries in a positive and friendly manner
  • Effectively able to read and identify event credentials and tickets to determine proper access levels
  • Provide quick, professional and effective response while monitoring access to restricted and secure areas
  • Maintain open and smooth access routes on concourses and in seating areas throughout an event
  • Enforce and uphold integrity of Philips Arena by controlling employee and visitor access at all points of entry
  • Perform search and screening of personnel, bags and packages at all entrances and exits and ensure that no prohibited items enter or leave Philips Arena
  • Practice effective communication, both verbally and written where appropriate, in situations where reports are generated or direction is needed. Prepare effective incident/accident reports
  • Create a safe and comfortable working environment for all employees and visitors
  • Manage all security equipment through proper upkeep and maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by Law or Company Policy 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  High school diploma/GED
  • Two years security experience
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Maintain crowd control and ensure guest safety through surveying and watching the crowd at all times
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, professional image and integrity
  • Be able to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Computer skills
  • Valid GA Driver’s License
  •  Must be able to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays; and/or extended hours
  • Must be physically able to demonstrate proficiency with all security equipment, as well as obtain and keep current First Aid Certification and pass written tests related to security
